ROSWELL, GA – Police say the two teenagers found dead behind a Publix supermarket Monday morning suffered severe head trauma, and are calling the deaths a double homicide.

A delivery driver found the bodies of 17-year-old Natalie Henderson and 17-year-old Carter Davis behind the King Plaza shopping center at around 6 a.m. Monday. Police believe their bodies had been there since between 2 and 3 a.m.

Police say they found vehicles behind the Publix, but are not sure if they belong to the teenagers. Investigators are looking at surveillance video from nearby businesses in hopes of finding potential suspects and a motive.

Investigators say the teens knew each other and do not believe a drug transaction was involved. They have not said why the teenagers met behind the store in the early morning hours. Of course I don’t know either, but I have a very educated guess.

Davis was about to begin his senior year at River Ridge High School where he played on the school’s football and lacrosse teams. Henderson was to start her final year at Roswell High School where she was a member of the school’s marching band for three years.

Roswell Police Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, Sandy Springs Police Crime Scene Investigators, and the GBI are all working on the case.

They are asking that anyone who may have been in the area, especially between 2 to 3 a.m., to contact Roswell police or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS.
